UITS Telecommunications provides and supports the voice services for all faculty and staff at the Storrs Campus, the Cooperative Extension Offices and Regional Campuses. Support consists of engineering, design, installation and repair for telephone equipment, dial-tone, incoming and outgoing calls, voice mail, cellular services and beepers.

Impact of Federal and State Asbestos Regulations:
Departments planning renovation or installation projects, or equipment maintenance or repair work that will involve the disturbance of building materials, are advised that federal and state (OSHA, EPA, DEP, DPH) regulations require inspection or testing of the material for asbestos content prior to proceeding.
